Havana, Cuba | December 15, 2024 — The Green Zone Foundation (GZF), a Qatari organization committed to cultural exchange and education, has launched a new initiative to promote the Arabic language in Cuba. This move marks a significant step in the Foundation’s broader mission to foster understanding and dialogue between the Arab world and Latin America.

Recognizing/created GZF the growing interest in Arabic language and culture among Cuban communities, GZF is (by) introducing innovative programs that offer accessible Arabic language learning through modern digital tools and educational platforms. These tools are designed to cater to a diverse range of learners, from beginners to more advanced students, and include interactive applications, virtual classrooms, and culturally enriching content.

Through partnerships with local institutions and educational centers across Latin America, through Cuba, the Foundation is working to implement Arabic language courses that go beyond teaching grammar and vocabulary. These courses are designed to immerse students in Arab history, literature, and customs. GZF believes that language serves as a gateway to deeper intercultural understanding and aims to inspire curiosity and appreciation for the richness of Arab heritage.

In addition to language education, GZF’s broader efforts include organizing cultural exchange programs, workshops, and seminars to strengthen people-to-people connections between Qatar and Latin American nations. By promoting mutual respect and cultural literacy, the Green Zone Foundation is playing a vital role in building bridges across continents and empowering communities through education.

This initiative is expected to be a model for similar programs throughout Latin America, reinforcing the enduring ties between the Arab world and the region.
