Dear Network Members in Latin America and the Caribbean,

I would like to present to you our campaign entitled "Arabic-Spanish Language Bridge".

It is clear that our present era, with all its elements, has a great need for continuous dialogue and communication, as cultural interaction plays an important role in strengthening communication and dialogue among peoples. Through cultural dialogue, people were able to see themselves in the eyes of other people, which helped them review their cultural heritage and preserve the positive aspects it has. Cultural communication reinforces the principle of world peace, since people who communicate culturally will not resort to wars and conflicts.

The Latin American and Caribbean region occupies an outstanding global position in terms of the richness of its culture and civilization: The beauty of its diverse artistic manifestations is an important interface and a valuable resource, which enables it to present them to the whole world and to engage with it in constructive interaction and human and spiritual dialogue.

In turn, the Arab world is considered the cradle of different ancient civilizations that have their rich influence and contribution to many other cultures. The prevailing Arab culture, in light of the era of globalization, constitutes an important element full of creativity and innovation, in a constant give and take with other cultures.

Having said the above, the campaign comes to realize these objectives and is considered the beginning of a long march between our two regions to build bridges of cooperation, as well as consolidate the friendship between our peoples, and advance the cultural, academic and social ties between us, from the perspective of mutual respect aimed at achieving peace and understanding between peoples.

Therefore, we see the importance of language and the great role it plays in the communication process, as it is the best means of communication in the cultural and scientific fields and can lead to the understanding of cultural meanings and symbols for societies in an effort to communicate with other societies.

Therefore, we have a strong conviction that the best way to build the desired bridges of communication and cooperation is to speak each other's language, engage in academic and scientific exchange based on learning each other's languages and transfer information, ideas and even feelings, based on the principle of respecting and preserving our cultures and identities.

Consequently, we intend for this campaign to be an important platform to create this cultural exchange so that both parties can present future cultural initiatives and proposals in a constructive manner. These proposals could be developed in one of the capitals of the Latin American region or in the Arab world.

With the hope that this is a good start for this long and necessary journey, I wish you happiness, prosperity and good health.
