The Institute of Arab Culture of Colombia has established itself as a leading platform to promote intercultural dialogue and create opportunities for development through art, culture, research and related fields.

Founded in 2017 as an independent non-profit organization with no political or religious affiliations, its mission is to connect Colombia and the Arab-Latin diaspora with the Arab world through multiple channels.

The institution promotes the teaching of the Arabic language (Photo: taken from the Facebook profile).

Based in Barranquilla, the Institute of Arab Culture of Colombia strives to harness the power of dialogue to:

  • Build peace through cultural understanding
  • Promote the teaching of the Arabic language to Spanish-speakers
  • Develop cultural, artistic and academic cooperation between Latin America and the Arab world.

This initiative focuses on the teaching and learning of the Arabic language in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the aim of building cultural bridges between the Arab world and these regions. We believe that language is the most effective communication tool and cultural gateway to reach the hearts and minds of Latin American and Caribbean youth. We encourage young people to explore the Arabic language and culture through attractive and accessible methods.

Teaching will be provided online through specialized applications following established methodologies of virtual language teaching. The program incorporates:

  • Arabic and Latin music
  • Interactive video content featuring simple, compelling dialogues
  • Progressive pronunciation exercises
  • Level-adapted learning materials

The multimedia approach ensures fluent adaptation to Arabic language patterns, while making the learning process dynamic and culturally immersive.
